Privacy Policy — Vidly

This Privacy Policy explains how the Vidly app ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Content you save stays on your device

Vidly lets you download videos from links you provide and save WhatsApp statuses you have already viewed. The videos, images, and files you save are stored only on your own device (in your gallery/Downloads). We do not upload, copy, or transmit your saved media to our servers or to any third party.

2. Permissions we request

• Internet & network state — to download the media you request and to load web pages in the in-app browser.
• Notifications (Android 13+) — to send you optional updates. You can decline or turn these off at any time in system settings.
• Storage / media access — only to read WhatsApp statuses you choose to save and to write your downloads to your gallery. We do not scan or collect your other files.

3. Information collected by third-party services

The app uses the following third-party SDKs, which may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob — shows ads and may collect an advertising identifier and device information to serve and measure ads. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
• Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage analytics that help us improve the app (e.g. which features are used). See Google's Privacy Policy above.
• OneSignal — delivers push notifications; processes a push token and basic device information. See OneSignal's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data we ourselves collect

Beyond the third-party services above, we do not operate accounts and do not collect your name, email, contacts, or precise location. The app fetches a small configuration file from our server to control in-app content; this request includes only standard technical data (such as your IP address, which is not stored by us for tracking).

5. Children

Vidly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your choices

• Turn off notifications in system settings.
• Reset or limit your advertising ID in your device's Google settings.
• Delete saved media directly from your gallery at any time.
• Uninstall the app to stop all data processing.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
